I'm looking for a housemate to share a warm, cozy apartment in a 2 unit townhome. My friends recently bought the home and will be our landlords, living in the unit above us. We've lived together in Astoria for 12 years and are so excited to be moving to Brooklyn!
The space
• Unfurnished blank canvas, fully wheelchair accessible, including the bathroom (photos are from previous tenant - will be completely unfurnished)
• Bedroom with windows and a fireplace (non-working, just for looks
• A second private room with a closet (no window, but decently sized) - not pictured but can send video if interested.
• Shared kitchen, living room, bathroom, laundry, and back patio
• A friend who has lived with us for 6 years will live in the basement and share the laundry and backyard with us

About me
I'm a preschool teacher in Long Island City with two cats and a small dog. I love quiet evenings at home, and weekends are for recharging with my girlfriend, at home or out at ceramics, organic wine shops, and bookstores.

Optional: $150 to $300 off rent, negotiated based on commitment, if you can commit to a daily mid-day backyard trip or longer walk for my dog while I'm at work.
