HIGHLIGHT:
- Social roommates.
- Lots of common space, In addition to the large kitchen/living room, there is a finished basement, an office or guest room, and a backyard just for the apartment.

LOCATION
- On the border of Bushwick, East Williamsburg, and Bed Stuy
- 250 feet to JM - Flushing Ave. Station (~3 min walk)
- .3 miles to the JMZ - Myrtle Broadway Station (~7 min walk)
- .8 miles to L - Montrose Station (~18 min walk)
- .7 miles to G - Flushing Ave Station (~14 min walk)

PHYSICAL APARTMENT
- 4 Bedrooms - All should fit a queen sized bed + a desk
- 1.5 Bathrooms - 1 w/ a toilet + shower/tub upstairs and 1 with just a toilet downstairs
- Large open kitchen / dining room
- Finished Basement
- Office (landlord won't let it be a fifth bedroom, but it's bed room sized)
- Private backyard (*not* wheel chair friendly)
- The building also has laundry machines (right outside our basement door) and a shared roof (which i haven't been to yet)

ROOMS
- 4 Bedrooms, i'll take one of them (open to any of them) and i'm looking for three more roommates
- Two rooms ($1375) are similarly sized (and fit queen beds + a desk), then one room is slightly larger ($1425) than those two, and one is slightly smaller ($1325) than those two (still can fit a queen bed and a desk, it's just interestingly shaped cuz its long and narrow).
- Move in - targeting May 1st

PRICE
- The average rent price per room is $1374 (total rent 4 ways is $5495). The rooms range from $1325-$1425
- We also will need to pay for gas/electric/internet, TBD what this will cost because I don't live there yet, but we'd split it evenly amongst the 4 roommates

VIBE
- Must be LGBTQ+ friendly
- I'm hoping for a social vibe. We don't need to be best friends or do everything together, but ideally we interact with each other, say hi to each other, eat together every now and then, hang out every now and then etc..
- Hoping for roommates that are comfortable with (or even excited about) an occasional dinner party, board game night, or actual bigger party (all done at reasonable hours), since that's the strength of this place. The nice thing about the space is, most of the social space is separated away from the bedrooms.
- Hoping for roommates who are fine with (or even better excited about) occasional out of town guests crashing at the apartment. We'll have a spare room that can be temporary guest room

ROOMMATES
(So far it's just me, but i'll add more here as more people join)

1) 39 cis gay male. I spend my days going to the gym (currently learning gymnastics rings), walking around the city, listening to non fiction audio books (I love to share what I learn in them), and hanging out with friends. I really enjoy board games (and am working on making one of my own currently), and I often play in lgbtq+ social dodgeball and bowling leagues. I like finding cheap produce and cooking vegetarian food (and am happy for you to eat some of it). I grew up with 3 brothers and have always enjoyed having many roommates around and hanging out. I just got back from 2 months in Mexico where I was taking Spanish classes. I've lived in NYC for a little over 6 years. Some quotes from former roommates about me:
- "If you’re looking for a roommate with who you can debate ideas, try new things, read books, go on random adventures, cook chili, and beat you at boardgames while still bringing a lot of joy to your life, Peter is the right roommate for you."
- "Peter is the most warm, friendly and fun roommate I’ve ever had. He’ll bring you into a life of new adventures, new board games, new recipes, and welcome you into his friend circle (and is always happy to join yours)!"

- "Peter is a YES person. Always down to try new things and get people together."
- "Something like ‘you will have fun everyday, even if youre just hanging around the house not doing much’ or ‘you’ll always have something to do and someone to do it with’"
- "Peter is a great community builder!"
- "Cleans up, keeps a light footprint, and all around good dude"

2) TBD, could be you! (must be lgbtq+ friendly)

3) TBD

4) TBD

NEXT STEPS:
You will need to be approved by the landlord. This will involve something like a credit report and showing sufficient income and savings. A guarantor is also an option.

MESSAGE ME WITH ANY QUESTIONS YOU MAY HAVE AND A LITTLE BIT ABOUT YOURSELF (and good luck in your search!)

NOTE: Those pictures are artificially staged and imo inaccurate, don't fully trust them especially the bed sizes they put in there (but the rooms do fit queens, they just will be much closer to the wall then the pictures lead on), but they should give you a rough idea. I'll try to take pictures next time i have access to the place. I also have a youtube video i can link you to.
