1 Room in Bushwick Near Gates Ave J

Hi! Me and roomie are looking for someone to fill my old room in our 3 br 1 ba apartment by March 1st.

About Us:

Me (Afro-Latino, 27, nonbinary, Brooklyn native):
I work full time at the New York Public Library, and am a part-time graduate student. No set schedule but typically in bed by 1 AM, but very respectful of keeping quiet by 12. I like to craft, play video games, read, and go out to punk shows or just hang with friends. Super friendly, laidback, tidy and respectful of shared spaces and household chores. I have a very sweet big boy tuxedo cat named Cardamom.

Roommate 2 (Turkish, 25, Female, Long time NYC resident):

Works in fashion and design, super sweet and tidy, also has no set schedule. Makes jewelry on the side :)

About the apartment:

In a 3 family home, on the top floor. Super open, super tall ceilings, tall windows, new appliances (washer/dryer and dishwasher in unit), lots of kitchen space, and gets a ridiculous amount of sunlight till the sun sets. On a very quiet street but very conveniently located 1 block away from the J train and bunch of bus lines (takes 20 minutes to get into Manhattan).

ABOUT YOU:

- Relaxed
- Respectful
- Tidy and cleans up after themselves
- Willing to follow a cleaning schedule (just once a month to clean a shared space)
- Will contribute to occasionally buying household items like cleaning supplies or toilet paper, etc.
- Communicative
- Nice (it's cool if you want to keep for yourself mostly but we'd rather not live with a complete stranger lol)

We're not super anal about things we just value communication and tidyness due to our previous roommate situation!

Rent is 1000 a month not includng utilities (That usually around 75-110 a month). Security deposit also needed for securing the room :)

Full disclaimer this is a skylight room (gets tons of light though so I didn't mind much, and windows in the living are huge which is a a decent tradeoff).
