HI! I'm looking for a new roommate for the second bedroom in my apartment and seeking a dog-friendly person, as I have a rescue pup (15-month-old) named Benny.

About the building: This is a secure building located in Bushwick, a block or two away from the Williamsburg border. There is an elevator, parking, a courtyard, and a gym. It's been here since 2008 & there are longtime owners and tenants, so it's well kept. If you have a car, there's a parking lot located below the building for an additional monthly fee (but trust me, it's far below the market rate for monthly parking).

About the room: You will have your own bathroom, which I have just had a brand-new toilet installed. (You also have the larger bathroom.)

About the apartment: It is a 2-bedroom, 2-bath apartment with a shared living room and dining room. I have a washer and dryer, a dishwasher, and a small terrace. There is a small gym in the building.

About the room: It is furnished with a full bed, desk, TV, and some small dressers. (We can talk about moving in your furniture, if you like.) There is a closet with a pretty high ceiling.

Regarding the lease, I am flexible. My last boarder had a four-month lease. ONE MONTH DEPOSIT REQUIRED. A credit check (which I conduct), proof of employment, and a reference would be greatly appreciated.

About the neighborhood: Bushwick near E Williamsburg. Closest train is the J/M on Flushing Avenue (or Myrtle/Bway), and a 12-minute walk to the Montrose L train. Plenty of buses nearby. There is a public pool very close by called the Bushwick Pool. Grocery stores nearby: Noll Street Foodtown and the independent Horseradish on Broadway, which is a great shop.

About me: I'm a writer/Communications queen who works in Manhattan four days per week. On days that I am home, I will take Zoom meetings in my dining area or bedroom. As I mentioned, I have a new rescue dog who is somewhat skittish and will have to get to know the new roommate. But he goes to daycare 5 days a week and I have no problem crating him when I am not home.

I'm not big on throwing parties. I rarely have friends over and tend to travel to NJ to visit family at least two weekends per month. I enjoy watching TV in the evenings if I'm not out.

I would be down to split the cost of a cleaning lady (I have a great one) every month (runs about $75 each). I have Verizon Internet, which runs $40 p/month. I want to split the ConEd bill, which is usually between $60 to $80 per month.

Non-negotiables: No smoking cigarettes indoors. (Building rules, sorry!) No having someone sleep over so much that I need to start charging them rent. :)

Move in by Feb 1st or 15th.
