welcome to my furnished home full of color, oddities and nostalgia. inviting those would look after and feel at home in collector’s little world <3
*price is 3400 inclusive of all utilities (water, gas, electricity, internet which unfortunately is very expensive in this city)
what’s the house like? maximalist, described as “must see in NYC”. the house and decor is PG 18+. aesthetic emphasis on 80s furniture, 90s pop culture, novelty toys and anime.
there’s a washer, dryer, dishwasher, equipped kitchen (minus a microwave), twin bed (2 people can unstack it into a kingsize), spacious bathroom, hairdryer, living / dining room with tv, reading nook, dedicated work space with a monitor, closet and dresser, HVAC in bedroom and living room, air purifier, exercise equipment (yoga mat, back roller, 5 lb weights), guitar, private balcony, 2 hanging plants
what’s the building like? the apartment is on the 4th floor walk up with no elevator. passcode and camera protected building. the house has a camera / voice doorbell, too. there is a shared rooftop. it’s a small building - we aren’t a strict community, but we are mindful of each other’s space and I wouldn’t consider the building big on noise (1. i’m probably the loudest since i’m a musician 2. exception is that you will have the honor of witnessing the the senior citizens home block party from the window in the summer)
nearby transportation? we’re a 5 minute walk from the main BK-Manhattan subway lines - the JMZ is less than a 5 minute walk away and the L is 15 minutes up the street. minimum 20 minutes to manhattan by subway (please check your route!). there are bus stops near the house, too .
what’s in the neighborhood? bushwick is a “vibrant and grunge neighborhood renowned for its arts scene, trendy bars and restaurants, and a strong community”. our street is quiet, but you’ll find the livelier streets within 5 minutes of exploring (especially on the weekend!) multiple bodegas and grocery stores are 3-5 minutes down the street.
looking for: clean, responsible tenants that will leave my home as they found it (and water the 2 plants). open to couples. no pets, i’m sorry! no smoking of any kind inside the house, but do whatever you want on the balcony
housekeeping: i’ve employed a housekeeper for regular deep cleaning for years. I recommend minimum monthly cleanings, $100 per session
