A rare and unique opportunity has arisen in our Greenpoint Artist Loft! It is very big, very, very, very, very big, and has windows! The former factory/ warehouse from 1931 has been converted into a true artist living space full of charm and design.

YOUR ROOM:
The room is $1675, and is a cute double floor/ lofted bed upstairs that gives off airy vibes and gets the most adorable afternoon sunlight. Freshly renovated with exposed brick walls and a humongous window.

The room is pretty big for New York standards, so you can finally bring over that old chest of drawers your grandma got you, and sleep like a starfish in your bed. The room comes unfurnished.

OUR LOFT
Our glorious loft space is coming with a huge kitchen with all the gear (a waffle maker! Nutribullet Smoothie maker! 2 Coffee machines! The fanciest toaster you've ever seen!), a bathroom with a tub for relaxing evenings in a candle-lit space, and a GINORMOUS lounge - but also an adorable huge rooftop with a view all over Manhattan where you can chill after a long day of work, or take some fancy selfies for your Instagram feed

We only got one bathroom, but we make up for this by all this glory:
* A bimonthly cleaner for all common areas, so we never have to fight about who's mopping the kitchen again (still means you clean up after yourself and keep the place tidy!)

ABOUT YOU
We are looking for someone roughly our age (very late twenties/ thirties), who's all the usual: Dependable, proactive, social, chill, and clean. You don't mind bringing out the trash or washing up that one odd spoon someone else left in the sink (well, you only gotta place it in the dishwasher) - you lead by example rather than complaining about what others do wrong. You're cool with small gatherings at the apartment. Extra points if you enjoy the occasional glass of wine on the roof together discussing philosophical theories. We value open & direct communication aka no need for passive aggressive notes/texts, it's not our style. All in all, we are looking for someone who wants a comfortable, friendly living space!

THE NEIGHBOURHOOD
A cozy little neighbourhood with a strong European presence, Greenpoint's charming townhouses and cramped shops imbue its streets with a sense of welcomed familiarity. It takes a little longer to reach always-on-the-move Manhattan from this northernmost Brooklyn neighbourhood, but basking in Greenpoint's communal vibe is well worth the extra minutes. Also worth the journey: The stellar skyline views of downtown Manhattan from the rooftops of Greenpoint's converted warehouses and loft apartments. The area is perfect, especially when warm days are coming: plenty of cafes, great restaurants, delis, gyms, yoga studios, and beautiful McCarren Park is just 5 min away.

GETTING AROUND
The loft is literally one block away from the G train subway station, that takes you around within Brooklyn, or a 15 minute walk to the Bedford L train in Williamsburg that brings you straight into Manhattan. There's also a ferry that takes you across the river if you're feeling nautical!

We are extremely nice/friendly/amicable/generou s/hospitable/average looking etc. The house is kept in good fettle; clean and tidy, and whilst we enjoy the odd party and we do all work so try and contain that to the weekends

There's 3 of us in total. We all have our own social lives and jobs, but love to hang out over a glass of wine or a home-cooked dinner every now & then. We are in our late twenties/ thirties and mostly work in "creative/arty" jobs, but are not pretentious/obnoxious/annoying about it ;)

Because our loft is so spacious and well laid out, the apartment never feels crowded and provides lots of privacy if you don't feel like socialising for a day or two. We like to treat our loft as a real home and make an effort to keep the feeling of "more than just a place to sleep" - and ideally are looking for likeminded people!
