29M Lawyer seeks Prof M/F roommate 2B1B-Avail NOW
Hi Everyone:
I am a 29M and I just graduated from Law School in the Midwest and am employed at a law firm in Manhattan. The apartment is CENTRALLY LOCATED, only 4 blocks from the A express train on Nostrand Ave. 15 mins to Downtown Manh, FIDI, 25 mins to West Village, and 30 mins to Midtown. Because this apartment is so close to FIDI, I have reserved it by making a deposit!
I have made a deposit on a large 2BR/1BA apartment with private outdoor space (a sideyard). I am seeking a roommate to share this great apartment with. LONG TERM only, minimum 6 months, hopefully the full year.
I have claimed the slightly larger room with the larger closet, and the 2nd room which is also a good size (fits a large queen bed currently) with a medium sized closet is available.
I am super busy working around the clock, as you can imagine, and just want to keep a quiet apartment for me to come home and crash in. Love to travel, try new restaurants, visit new places etc.... when I can do something outside of work.
I am very open to every kind of person as a roommate, fine with both PROFESSIONAL Men and Women as roommates. I am really not picky at all. Just request that you also be a busy working professional, who keeps things relatively tidy (not super neat freak).
As long as you have good credit and income and qualify as another legal occupant, I think that should be fine with Management/Owners. The Management has already approved me, and the apartment is basically secured but I would like to have my roommate sign the lease with me, that would be preferred.
The neighborhood is great lined with historic brownstones and with laundry, supermarkets, and bars/restaurants right down the street on Tompkins Avenue.
I am posting pictures of the apartment both FURNISHED and UNFURNISHED (provided to me by the Management).
Also, a video tour of the room/apartment is available if you want to see it.
UNFORTUNATELY building does not accept pets. And only SINGLE OCCUPANCY for the rooms, no couples.
As I have not totally signed on the place yet but have made a deposit to reserve the apartment, I don't have keys yet to the apartment.
The property manager Sarah has been gracious enough to offer to show the apartment to a roommate applicant and will initially vet roommate candidates to see if you qualify for the apartment (with good credit and income/guarantor). So, you can set up the schedule for a showing with her. She prefers to give in-person tours rather than video. She will put you in touch with me as well and she will give you my socials information to serious applicants only.
