Room in 3 bed/2 bath available in Bed-Stuy

Beginning September 1st, 2026* we have a room in our 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom 2nd-floor apartment in the heart of Bed-Stuy available for a 1-year lease. Hardwood floors and high ceilings throughout, including the bedroom, which also includes a closet and window facing foliage filled backyards. This room shares a bathroom with one roommate. The room is $1130 a month, and utilities usually run ~$170/month each. Property mgmt requires a $20 application fee and a $1130 security deposit. In order to be approved to join the lease, you must have a minimum 700 credit score & show proof of income for 40x the rent. If you’re signing with a guarantor, they will need to show proof of income for 80x the rent. *There is an option to move in Sep 15th and pay half of September rent.

The apartment has central heat and AC, a walk-in communal closet, large shared living room/kitchen, and updated appliances. We are very close to Herbert Von King Park, a 12-minute walk to the G or C trains, many bus lines within a 2-block radius, and blocks away from grocery stores, local restaurants, bars, and shops.

About the current roommates: A 32-year old project manager who works from home and has a sweet cat named Gus and a 36-year old art studio manager who works at the studio 4 days a week.

Ideally you are someone who:
- Is a woman in your 30’s
- Is comfortable living with a cat but has no intent on bringing another animal into the space
- Has been living in NYC for awhile and has an independent routine down
- Is cool with visitors on occasion who stay up to a week at a time, but is not looking to bring a 4th roommate into the mix
- Has lived with roommates before and knows how to contribute to a clean, respected and safe community
- Absolutely MUST have incredible cleaning standards that could possibly surpass the current clean-freak roommates
- Takes initiative; when something is broken you don’t think twice about fixing it or reaching out to management, when the trash needs to be taken out you do it
- Has a job and pays rent, utilities, and Venmo requests for communal items on time
- Communicates! Anything from issues you’re having in our little community to dates of visitors and when you’ll be traveling
- Is generally considerate regarding noise, especially during typical workdays and weeknights when we have to be up for work the next day
- Is social and open to occasionally hanging out
- Must have a progressive state of mind
