Seeking friendly roommate for modern 1 bed, 1 bth

Ad ref# 102116374

Hi!

My current roommate is moving out and I'm looking for someone to renew my lease with me beginning Sept. 1. He's already put a deposit down for an apt. and will be moving Aug 16.

Rent is $1674, and Utilities are appx. 100/month. Looking for roommate who is: friendly, communicative, financially stable, pet-friendly, responsible, vaccinated, and clean. Once you read the full post, please message if interested with info about yourself.

About the place: The room is 11'-5" by 9'-8." It can comfortably fit a full sized bed, nightstand, dresser, and maybe a desk. My roommate has a queen sized bed, a nightstand, a dresser, and desk, but in my opinion, it is a bit cramped. See photos for reference (also - sorry if his room his messy!). I've attached the model photos and photos as it looks now. The closets are fairly large as well, and if you need more storage, there are two closets in hall.

The apt. building has a small gym, outdoor terraces, a rec room, virtual doorman, and garage. With the subway only a block away, you can take C all the way into Manhattan in appx. 25 minutes. Directly across the street is a really nice market with great produce.

About me: I am 29, a lawyer, and BIPOC and LGTBQIA+ friendly. When I'm not working, I'm usually walking my dog, cooking/baking, hanging out with friends, watching a movie or a show (love Bravo and am unapologetic about it), working out, and reading.

As for pets, I have a large dog and cat. Both of my pets are super chill and sleep pretty much the entire day. Ideally, you will love pets if you reply to this post! See photos for reference.

About the neighborhood: If you're unfamiliar with Bed Stuy, then this section is for you! The neighborhood is very friendly, with lots of shops, bars, cafes, and restaurants primarily on Tompkins, which is 2 blocks away, and also scattered throughout neighborhood. Restaurants include: Peaches, Saraghina, Eugene & Co. Warude, Chez Oskar, and L'Antagoniste. During winter, I like to go get ramen from Nana ramen if you're down for that sort of thing! It's really nice to go on walks because of all the brownstones, and Herbert Von King Park is about a mile away. If you play tennis, there is a tennis court around the corner. If you want a bigger gym, then there is a Blink gym about 10-15 mins walking distance.
