The building is located in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn at Quincy Street & Lewis Avenue. It is generally quiet and has good street parking outside. Cafes, laundromat & grocers are within 5 blocks.

The J/Z trains @ Gates Avenue Station are 5 blocks away [10 mins walk or 3 mins bus ride.]
The A/C trains @ Utica Avenue Station are 12 blocks away [16 mins walk or 5 mins bus ride.]
Arrive in lower Manhattan in 30 minutes.

My apartment is located on the 2nd floor. *No outside shoes are worn indoors.* It is well organized, and cleaned every 1-2 days plus tidying up per use.

The available room is approx. 7.5 ft x 9 ft with 10 foot ceilings. There is a nice sized closet, a tall window [limited sunlight] and an air conditioner. May be furnished with a full size bed and under bed storage, if needed (same price). Unfurnished for a longer term is okay.

Directly outside of the room is a semi-private storage area. Here you will have a large shelf for dry snacks and a medium size mini fridge with freezer. There is also a bit more shelf space for personal items you can't fit in your bedroom closet. ***The kitchen is only available for limited usage*** i. e. sink for dishwashing, filling Brita tank, and/or 1-2 nights weekly for a small meal (soup, sandwhich, pasta). Use of the kitchen microwave to reheat food with slightly more frequency is allowed.

There is roof access with amazing city views and lots of space for your plants (BYO water).

Officially, this is a 4 bedroom/1 bathroom apartment. However, it is very much like a 2 bedroom apartment due to our habits and the unique layout (see layout photo). There are 2 female roommates in 2 of the bedrooms furthest from you. 1 spends about 70% of their time working outside of the home, at their partner's apartment, or occasional travel and also has a private entrance and kitchenette so seeing her is very rare. The other works outside the home 5 days weekly and doesn't use the kitchen so never passes your room. Rare guests, no pets or smoking.

The final room is where I reside with my long term male partner. We've always worked remotely and mainly from home. I make heavy use of the kitchen and spend most of my time there. We are quiet people who keep to ourselves but will always give a nice hello or assist. We can adjust our schedules for you but generally we enjoy early mornings and quieter times by 11pm. No guests, pets or smoking.

We all lead very independent lives while peacefully cohabitating in a private, clean and calm environment.

***REQUIREMENTS/TERMS***

The best fit is for a solo female, any age, working or student with a somewhat consistent schedule a few days weekly outside of the home.

Please Be...very clean / peaceful when at home / host a guest only 1-2 times weekly / non-indoor smoker / very responsible with rent / good at communicating issues with resolution in mind / good sense of integrity.

DECEMBER 1ST. $885 monthly rent includes FiOS wifi, gas, heat, hot water and most electricity [up to $185 monthly]. This is good for basic a/c usage and daily items. Summer months may require extra $10-$20 for heavy a/c usage. 6 month or longer stay preferred but please inquire.

1st and security, proof of employment/funds, photo ID and reference required. No credit check but an in-person viewing/virtual interview with detailed questions should be expected.

A small, in-room only cat is okay. Pets old enough or use to being left alone (no kittens). I am happy to watch your pet while you're gone and if I'm available but no free roaming pets are allowed.
