LARGE room in 3BR, W/D in unit

Hello! My roommate and I (24 male, 25 female) are looking to rent out a room in our big, three bed, RENT STABILIZED apartment near Yankee Stadium in the Bronx (one stop from Manhattan), with IN UNIT WASHER/DRYER. It?s the biggest room in the apartment - currently occupied by a couple - and has two built in closets, and two windows with great light. Really big with easily enough space for a queen bed, desk, couch, coffee table!!

The room costs $827.85/month plus utilities (plus one month?s rent for security deposit), and we would want you on the lease for one year beginning November 1st. The lease is RENT STABILIZED.
Most of the furniture in the main space belongs to our roommates, so we will be redecorating with a new couch and dining table.

We have great transportation nearby: We are less than 10 mins walk from the B, D, and 4 trains (161st St Yankee Stadium stop), the Metro North, and are right by an exit onto the Major Deegan Expressway. We have views of the skyline from our fire escape and roof, laundry is in the apartment itself, and we own a Peloton Bike you?d be welcome to share for exercise!

We are LGBTQ+ friendly. The two of us you?d be moving in with are good friends, and we?d love to have someone else that we can have fun with in our awesome apartment (but we understand personal space/time too!!). We are looking for someone who is clean and considerate of common spaces, who is willing to contribute their fair share to keeping the apartment a normal level of cleanliness, but is also doesn?t need everything to be super clean and organized all the time. We are also being extremely careful about Covid, and would want anyone moving into the apartment (and becoming part of our bubble) to share the same level of care with general precautions, wearing masks and how they interact with other people and activities.

About us:

Sophie is a research scientist at Mount Sinai hospital working remotely, and part-time in person when required (safely!). She is spending her quarantine working, watching Star Trek, and eating. She?s a homebody and has luckily been enjoying being home so much, but when she gets out of the apartment she enjoys hiking and picnics.

David moved to NYC from England several years ago. He acts and makes films, and prior to Covid was working in recruitment and coaching for public speakers at an education company. He likes cooking and food, and is spending time learning music production.
