Large Furnished Room, Utili. Included, Near Train

Available for rent beginning December 1st is a spacious, furnished, affordable bedroom in my friendly apartment set in a great location in the Bronx. You will be replacing my current roommate who will be relocating to Fl. The rent is $950 and all utilities are included in the rent (see below). You might be able to move in earlier, if needed, on the condition that you provide enough notice to enable my roommate to move out in time.

Female preferred. 30-year-old or older working female professional preferred.

No couples, children or pets.

The room is large and is fully furnished. It has a queen-size bed, dresser, two closets and two windows, which allow in good natural light. It can also comfortably fit a couch and a desk. There is an air conditioner available for you at no cost but you will be required to pay the superintendent for installation (about $60).

The apartment is not modern but the trade-off is that the rooms are large. The bathroom and kitchen are shared. There is a washer and dryer in the apartment so you won’t have to lug all of your laundry to a laundromat!

The apartment is in a great location and is in a secure building that is just one block away from the B/D Train Subway Station (174-175 Street Station) for access to the west side of Manhattan and three blocks away from the #4 Train Mt. Eden Subway Station for easy access to the east side of Manhattan. Columbus Circle is just a 25-minute commute. There are several fast food chains, Spanish restaurants, African grocery stores, 4 supermarkets and several bodegas within walking distance of the apartment building. There is also a park, hospital, library, Planet Fitness and local community center that has a swimming pool nearby. All are within a short walking distance from the apartment.

This is a co-ed housing environment and you will be living with two roommates. We are looking for someone who is mature, clean, respectful and will not bring frequent overnight guests. We like to maintain a quiet, peaceful environment and are in search of a roommate who enjoys peace and tranquility at home.

Rent Requirements:

-$950/ month, utilities included. However, must pay extra utilities during summer months if using the air conditioner and during winter months if using a space heater (about $75 for conservative usage).
- Proof of income required.
- $850 security deposit
- $1,800 ($850 security deposit + 1st month’s rent) to move in.
- Future rent will be due by the 1st of every month regardless of move-in date.
- Minimum six-month to one-year lease required.
