We’re looking for a thoughtful, friendly housemate to join us in a **beautiful** three-story home in the Trestle Glen neighborhood of Oakland. The bedroom and separate private office are a great combination, but the house itself is the real draw: generous shared spaces, a newly updated kitchen, and plenty of room to spend time together or find a quiet corner of your own.

The house:
With two expansive living rooms spread across a three-story house, there’s room for both connection and independence—catching up over dinner, settling in with a book, or enjoying an evening without everyone needing to be in the same space.

The newly updated kitchen is a welcoming spot to cook and share conversation. There’s also a backyard and garage space; details about garage use can be discussed when we meet.

We’re creating a comfortable, welcoming home, rather than just a collection of separately rented rooms, and we’d love to find someone who appreciates that balance.

Your bedroom + separate private office:
The two rooms are offered together to one person, giving you a separate space for work or creative projects without having your desk next to your bed.

- Bedroom: Approximately 12 x 12 feet, several windows and a full closet.
- Private office: Approximately 10 × 12 feet, with a deep closet.
- Bathroom: Shared with one other housemate, with a large shower/tub combination.

The office is intended as a workspace, not an additional bedroom.

About us—and you:
We’re professional women in our mid-30s to 40s who enjoy having a friendly, connected household while maintaining our own independent lives. We like being able to chat in the kitchen or spend time together when schedules align, without an expectation that everyone socialize all the time. There’s also a cat, Nimo, so being comfortable with a feline housemate is important.

We’re looking for someone with experience sharing a home who understands the everyday consideration that makes it work: cleaning up after yourself, respecting shared spaces, communicating directly and kindly, and contributing to the household without needing reminders.

A great fit is someone who enjoys the company of housemates but also has their own routines, friendships, and interests—someone who wants a home that feels warm and lived-in, with room for privacy and independence.

- Rent: $2,100/month for the bedroom and private office.
- Utilities: Separate.
- Location: Trestle Glen neighborhood, Oakland.
