I have a beautiful apartment that I'm looking to share with someone. It is a calm and happy place on the second floor of a lovely Victorian-style house at Derby and MLK; it has lots of light, fresh air, and views of trees from every window. The location is incredibly convenient, with easy access to the Ashby Bart, Berkeley Bowl, the 12 bus, and we have a corner store. The UCB campus is a 20-minute walk or a 10-minute bike ride away.

The apartment would be shared between you and me. It's a 3-bedroom place; I like to keep one as a guest room or as a shared office space. There’s a great living room, a big kitchen, office space, a shared laundry room, and even an outdoor space with a fire pit and a hammock. 🌳🔥

A little about me: I’m a professional working for a sustainability non-profit, originally from Colombia, and UC Berkeley Alum. I have a passion for yoga, Zumba, gardening, painting, and camping, and take tennis classes, too. I love spending quality time with friends, hosting occasional dinners, going out dancing, and spending time outdoors. 🌱🎨🏕️

I've been lucky to form strong friendships with most of my roommates in my previous living situations. While I expect us to be independent, I would like to foster a friendly living environment where we can connect beyond sharing rent. It is ideal for a fellow professional in their 30s, a postdoc, researcher, visiting scholar, or any other professional seeking a similar friendly and sociable living situation.

Cleanliness is a priority for me, so I'm looking for someone who also values a tidy and well-organized living space.

The apartment comes fully furnished and equipped, so there is no need to bring anything other than sheets and towels. The move-in cost includes the first and last month's rent and a 1-month security deposit. The landlord will conduct a credit check, and we'll sign a sublease agreement.
