ROOM AVAILABLE IN 3-BEDROOM HOUSE: Two hard-working people seek a responsible, dependable person to become a part of our household team. The available room is on the first floor of the house, with sunny windows on the front and side.

I have included a couple of pictures of the room, along with some pictures of the house, including our awesome backyard and living room, as well as pictures of the bathroom and kitchen sinks so you can see what the basic standard of cleanliness is.

The person we’re looking for:
* RESPONSIBLE! Living with other roommates is first and foremost a business relationship. The contract is simple: you pay your rent & bills in full, on time, you complete all household duties/chores in a competent and timely fashion, and you conduct yourself in a respectful manner to fellow roommates and their guests.

The number of people who have lived here who couldn’t grasp this basic aspect of adulthood is disappointing, to say the least. Please note that they no longer live here. A deal is a deal—break it and you’re out.

* Neat and clean.
* Stable employment.
* Capable of communicating face-to-face. If you’re a cyborg accustomed to conducting all communication via text, this probably isn’t the home for you.
* Enjoys the occasional gathering or house party.
* Interesting in staying LONG TERM – One year MINIMUM, ideally for longer.
* No hard drug users (coke, meth, heroin, pills, etc.)

About us:
Housemate One (me):
Black/Native male, 45 years old, college grad, born & raised in the Bay Area, friendly by default but with a low tolerance for drama, conflict, confusion, and chaos. I've rented this house since 2013. I'm a musician, writer, cartoonist, video-producer, martial arts instructor, and armchair intellectual. I do most of my studio work at the house; turntables, lots of records, backyard kungfu lessons, and the occasional video shoot. I work graveyard shifts as a security guard.

Housemate Two:
Black female, 32 years old, born & raised in the Bay Area, low tolerance for trifling mf’ers. Employed at a grocery store. Generous, dependable, and likes to cook. Enjoys quiet days at home when she’s not working. Has a big family and many of her family members live locally. Happy to be living in a stable home with peace and privacy.
