Looking for a housemate

Hi there! I am looking for an awesome new housemate to rent an unfurnished room with a private (unattached) bathroom in a 2 bedroom house located in Emeryville. The house is in a great, secluded neighborhood that is quiet, safe and includes friendly neighbors. Easy access to HWY 80, 580, 880 and 24. 3 miles from UC Berkeley, 3 ½ miles from Downtown Oakland and 10 miles from Downtown SF.

The dimensions of the room is 11ft x 11ft. The room also has a closet that is 5ft x 3ft. There is an additional closet between your bedroom and bathroom doors. We would share the living room, dinning area and kitchen, all of which are fully furnished. There is a private backyard with multiple flower beds, ideal for the urban gardener. Street parking available or off street parking with car shuffling.

Month-to-Month lease with first months rent and a security deposit required when you move in. You will be signing onto a sub lease with the landlord, who will have the final approval on applications.

Utilities (PGE/Internet/Cable) are not included in the rent. Depending on the the time of year, utilities can be anywhere between $100-$200 a month per person. Netflix, Disney+, Amazon Prime and Hulu are all available on the living room TV, at no additional charge.

About Me:
Early 40s straight cisgender male omnivore, Native NYer, deep thinking introvert, constant learner, self taught culinarian, amateur horticulturist, canine enthusiast and professional extraction artist. About Mongo:
10 year old male Pomeranian mix. Loves to snuggle and get pet. Likes long walks but will settle for short ones too. Will greet you at the door with intense excitement and will lick your face dry if you let him (say “Mongo, no” and he will stop licking). Takes his house security job seriously by keeping the backyard free of unwanted critters and always lets you know when someone is approaching the house, especially the mail delivery person. Has been known to shed his fur.

About You:
Trustworthy, drama-free individual with a steady income who pays rent/bills on time. You are someone who doesn't like to bring the party home with them and is not into hard drugs or heavy drinking. Social drinking, 420 and psychedelics are ok. You love dogs (a small dog will be living here). You respect other people, their property and always clean up after yourself in shared spaces. No couples or frequent overnight guests. Occasional overnight guests or out of town visitors are fine.
