Room in Artsy Loft - West Oakland

This gorgeous artsy loft space is located between West Oakland BART and Jack London Square with easy access to transit and freeways. This is a very special space that has been a live-work since the 1980s.

The bedroom is downstairs off of the shop space. It has a window into the studio but not directly outside which makes it much quieter but not as bright. The downstairs space stays really cool in the summer while the upstairs gets a little warm. This is the best room for sure! There is a ladder to the loft bed, fyi.

You would be living with one other person. I'm a professional artist, underground event collaborator, and college professor. I have a dog but can't have any additional pets unless they're in an aquarium or something. I have my art studio in the space but unfortunately there isn't room for another art operation in here so if you need workspace you will want to have a separate studio. That said, there is space upstairs to spread out and do a project or have a craft day with friends for sure! That's something I really enjoy doing.

My community is pretty interesting. Lots of boats and campouts and underground art stuff. It's pretty fun, I think you'll like these folks. I run with a very adventurous, and respectful crowd. I'm looking for someone who wants the same.

We have a guest room as well so if you have friends in town they can stay with us :)
