Relocating from Los Angeles

Hi! I’m Natalie, I’m 34, and I’m making the move from LA to NYC! I’ve lived in Los Angeles my whole life, so this is a pretty exciting change. I’ve wanted to live in New York for a long time and finally decided it’s time to go for it!

I’m mainly looking for a 3–4 month sublet while I get settled and figure out which neighborhood feels like home but if I find the right place and the right people, I’d also be open to signing a year lease. My budget is up to $1,250/month, ideally including utilities.

I’m hoping to find a friendly, comfortable living situation where everyone can have their own space but also hang out, grab a drink, watch a movie, etc. I tend to spend a lot of time in my room but I’m definitely not antisocial! I’ve lived with 2–3 people before, so I’m comfortable sharing a space and being considerate of other people’s routines. I’m clean and respectful of shared spaces, especially the kitchen. I wash my dishes right away (or at least the same day), so I’d love to live with people who are generally clean and considerate of common areas.

I currently work as a barista and am actively looking for work in NYC. I can provide proof of income from my current job and have savings set aside.

I’m an actor and I’m hoping to find an acting class and start building a creative community once I’m there. I’d definitely be down to live with other creatives as well! Outside of acting, I enjoy reading. I’m currently in a book club reading through The Lord of the Rings series! I’m also into fitness and hope to find a running club as well.

Mostly, I’m just looking for a place that feels comfortable and homey and hopefully to meet some good people along the way. If you think we might be a good fit, I’d love to chat!
