Looking for a room in NYC/NJ

Hey I'm Brian. I'm currently looking to rent a room in either Queens, Brooklyn or North Jersey. I'm not too picky about neighborhoods as long as there is public transit close by. I'm looking to move-in by November 1st.

I'm originally from New York, but I moved down to Philly for work about 4 years ago. Currently, I'm in a transitional period and I'm looking for a room as I make my way back to the NYC/NJ area and get situated. I am looking for something long-term, but I'm also open to short-term arrangements if need be. I have an excellent credit score, clean rental history, enough savings to cover a year's rent- though I do plan on hitting the ground running with retail/service work once I get settled. References and supporting material can be provided at your request.

I'm pretty laid-back. Whether you are looking for a living situation where we mostly keep to ourselves or one where we chat frequently or share a meal together, I'm cool with either. I'm also gay, but I'm ok with straight or gay roommates. Cleanliness is important to me so leaving dishes in the sink overnight is not something I'd do. I believe open communication makes shared living more enjoyable.
