I work full time at a structural engineering firm as a contracted CAD designer, and take online civil drafting classes at the local community college. As a contractor, I dont work rigid hours, but I usually end up working 9+ hours M-Th and 4-5 hours on Friday. My weekends are for me. Im not big on cooking, though I do rely heavily on microwaving. If you would prefer keeping your kitchen appliances off limits, Ill get my own microwave and mini fridge. I do my laundry weekly and bedding biweekly, so at most Ill be doing two loads per week. I dont have any pets of my own, but Im alright with sharing living spaces with them, as long as I wont be expected to care for them (unless theres an emergency). Ive never smoked, drank, or used drugs, and dont plan on starting. I have a boyfriend of almost 2 years that I would like to have over occasionally on afternoons into the evenings (though never overnight). If guests are not allowed, Ill only ask to let him inside two times: to help me move in, and later out. If I had to describe myself in 3 words, it would be thorough, utilitarian, and level. I believe I will make a great short-term roommate/tenant precisely due to my qualities.
My preferences for living, ordered from from most to least important, are: 1. Location. Must be within a 20 minute car ride/ 1 hour bus ride to Corporate Plaza 2. Private bathroom. Personal preference. Can settle for a hall bathroom as long as its used sparingly (meaning that nobody else is assigned to it, though if a roommate or their guests happen to use it once in a while so be it). 3. Short term lease up to 5 months with the option to month to month for a short while afterwards if necessary. Even better if lease was month to month from the start. 4. Deposit capped at $500 (no deposit is best) If your rental checks off a fair bit here but not everything, please still reach out and see if we can make it work. However, for an rental agreement capable of meeting all of my criteria, I am willing to pay decent money. That being said, my hard budget comes out to $1550, and this is after including all utilities/trash/etc, with proration at $50/day for the first month (October).
TL; DR (Courtesy of Gemini): I am a quiet, low-impact full-time CAD designer and student (clean, drug/smoke/alcohol-free, no pets, and no overnight guests) seeking a flexible short-term or month-to-month room starting this October. I have an all-inclusive hard budget of $1,550/month (max $500 deposit) and need a place within 20 minutes by car or 1 hour by bus from Corporate Plaza, ideally with a private bathroom.
