Hi! I’m Hourun, 22, originally from China. I’m moving to NYC in early October for a one-year culinary internship program in Manhattan, and I’m currently looking for a room to rent.
I’m pretty easygoing, clean, and respectful of shared spaces. I’m also fairly independent and usually keep a regular routine. Outside of work, I’m into the gym, cooking, food, music, and exploring NYC. I’m social and happy to chat or hang out with roommates, but I also respect everyone’s privacy and personal space.
I’ll be commuting to Manhattan for work, so I’m mainly looking for somewhere with a reasonable commute and a comfortable living environment.
My ideal setup would be a shared apartment with 2–4 people. I’m looking for a place where everyone is considerate about cleanliness, noise, and shared spaces. I’m open to a shorter initial stay and would be happy to continue if everything works well for both sides.
I’m currently still in China, so I’m arranging housing before I arrive in NYC. I can provide my program/employment documents and proof of funds, and I’m happy to do a video call or virtual tour before moving in.
