35-Yr-Old Design Professional Seeking a Room in BK

Hi! I'm Matthew (he/him), a 35-year-old queer landscape architect, Chicago native, and New Yorker since 2019. I live in South Williamsburg and I'm ready for a fresh start in a new corner of Brooklyn to call home!

I recently started an exciting new role at an architecture and design firm in Union Square, where I'm in the office five days a week. I'm passionate about design, but laid-back in everyday life, with a silly sense of humor and an appreciation for good company.

I'm a plant nerd, avid reader, aspiring sketcher, and lover of all things art and design. Outside of work, I enjoy cooking, biking, running, catching a show, and exploring the city with friends. I'm social by nature, but I also appreciate a quiet evening to unwind and recharge.

As a roommate, I'm clean, considerate, communicative, and respectful of shared spaces. I love a home where roommates can share a laugh, a meal, or a good conversation while respecting each other's independence and downtime.

I'm looking throughout Brooklyn, particularly Bed-Stuy, Clinton Hill, Fort Greene, Prospect Heights, Crown Heights, Park Slope, Boerum Hill, Cobble Hill, Gowanus, Greenpoint, and surrounding neighborhoods—ideally, a sunlit room with space for a full-size bed, dresser, and desk. Easy access to green space is a plus!

Budget: $1,600–$1,800/month
