New to Beautiful Portland, Oregon! 🥰

I just moved to Portland on Friday, August 28th, 2026. I have been living nomadically for 10 years. Originally I am from Memphis, Tennessee. I raised two kids in the Midwest for 20 years.

I have decided to make Oregon my home because it’s absolutely stunning and my son moved here in January! He’s getting married 9/5. I’m told grandchildren will be arriving in 3 to 5 years. :)

I’m really excited to be here. I’m looking forward to laying some roots, spending time with my son, going hiking and camping. I just need a little room to rent to begin with while I get back on my feet.

My massage career ended after 15 years last December due to an injured wrist. I was living in rural Virginia. I had to leave a really beautiful house sit because I could not find work outside of Massage therapy out there.

I am so happy to report I have TWO jobs in Portland. I start both mid September. I am also a personal trainer, yoga instructor, energy/sound healer and a professional Pet sitter. I am studying to work as a clinical hypnotherapist.

I am clean and tidy. Sober from alcohol 20 years this January. I don’t use nicotine. I’m into nature, health and wellness. I am accepting and respectful of others. I need a safe place to park my car “moma” and my bike “Ruby”.

I do not really need furniture as I have my own mattress. It’s just a little thin Japanese futon. sometimes I put it on a bedframe but most of the time I just have it on the floor. Either way is fine. I just have to sleep on a hard surface for my back to be happy.! I could use a dresser, but it’s not necessary or mandatory either. I’m pretty easy-going and grateful after moving around so much.!!
