27M seeking friendly Santa Monica share

Hi, I’m Matt, 27, and I’m relocating from Sydney to Santa Monica around the end of October for a full-time tech role.

I’m looking for a friendly, well-run, shared home for my first 6–12 months in LA—ideally an established 2BR/2BA or 3BR with one or two housemates.

I’m looking for a private bedroom, preferably my own bathroom, in-unit laundry and a comfortable shared living area. My budget is quite flexible around US$2000–$3000 per month including utilities, depending on the room, location and amenities.

I’m clean, considerate and active. I’d enjoy living with people who occasionally share a meal, head to the beach, grab a drink or do something together, while still having their own friends and independent lives. I’m sociable, but I’m not looking for a heavy party house.

Santa Monica is strongly preferred, with safety, walkability and a convenient commute being important.
