32 | Looking for a Home in Portland

Hi! I’m Kubi, 32, a writer and photographer originally from Istanbul. I’m planning to move to Portland around the end of October, with some flexibility on the exact date.
I’m looking for a comfortable, respectful home with roommates who are friendly, clean, and considerate. I’m clean, organized, easygoing, and enjoy having a good relationship with the people I live with while also respecting everyone’s personal space.
I love cooking, especially Mediterranean food, photography, writing, exploring new places, spending time outdoors, and gardening. I’ve been living in Galveston since 2023, but I’m ready for four seasons, nature, and a more walkable city.
My income is stable, and I can provide references or proof of income if needed.
I’m looking for a room in the $700–$1,000/month range. Furnished or unfurnished is fine. I’m especially interested in Alberta Arts District, Mississippi Avenue, Pearl District, and NW 23rd / Nob Hill, but I’m open to other neighborhoods as well.
Ideally, I’d love to find a place that feels like a home rather than just a place to sleep
