44 y/o Introvert Badass Looking for Housing

It's me.

Hi, I'm Malinda, a 44 y/o Black woman, non-smoker, single, dog mom to timid Terrier mix (42 lbs). Looking for a room in the 27713 zip code area of Durham.

I’m clean, quiet, responsible, an early bird that works from home and also has a part-time job at a coffee shop. I'm a homebody that is easy going, highly introverted (though I fool people into thinking I'm an extrovert, daily), and values the dignity and worth of others. I'm interested in compatible roommates (ie., align on key lifestyle habits, such as cleanliness standards, noise level, sleep schedules, and guest policies, etc.).

Places you'll be most-likely to find me if we live together:
- My room (usually with the door closed), the kitchen (food is love), or outside enjoying nature.

IMPORTANT TO KNOW
- My dog is my shadow. She is super sweet, but she does not play about her mom's safety. She "aaahhh-wooos" when she gets excited; which usually happens when we're outside or visiting a dog friendly shop or cafe. Cats, unfortunately, are not safe around her (I know, it makes me sad too; and she has cat cousins!!). However, she LOVES fellow dogs.

- I work as a birth doula, family photographer, barista, stationery designer and sewist (where my Manifesting Generators at?!). This means I'll come and go at ridiculous times (but always doing my best not to disturb the household).

- Technically, I should be asleep by 7 p. m. most days, but I average a "bedtime" between 8:30-10:30 p. m. During the week, I wake up at 3:45/3:50 AM (that is not a typo).

- I smell like I work at a coffee shop at least 4 days a week.

- It won't be unusual to find me hauling around a peanut-shaped birth ball, photography gear, a sewing machine, fabrics and interfacings, or for me to be covered in pieces of sewing thread; I know, I lead a wild life.

- I enjoy getting to know people, but we can skip the fluff and head straight to the heart of everything (where is home for you? What's your dream?! Tell me your weirdest perimenopause symptom, so far).

- I'm serious, but I don't take everything seriously.

- I'm into mindfulness, but it probably won't look like you think it will (meditation moment anyone?)

- The loudest noises you'll hear from me are laughs or sneezes. One will make you smile, the other might stop your heart for a moment.

- I'm in the beginning of a new chapter in my life. My partner of 22 years decided they were done, so I'm currently in the separation period before the divorce (anyone else think this archaic law requiring a 1 year separation before divorce is ridiculous?). I guess I share that to let you know that like many right now my life is life-ing; and, I'm doing my best.
