Student looking for a clean room | NYC/NJ | $1,000

Hi! I’m a 22-year-old College senior moving to the NYC area and looking for a private room in a clean, comfortable apartment.

I’m mainly looking in Brooklyn, Queens, Jersey City, Hoboken, Newark near PATH/NJ Transit, or other walkable areas with an easy commute into NYC. I’m flexible on the exact neighborhood for the right place.

- Budget ideally around $1,000–$1,200/month, but I can consider up to around $1,300–$1,350 for a particularly good fit
- Private bedroom
- Clean apartment and shared spaces
- Month-to-month, sublet, lease takeover, or another flexible arrangement strongly preferred
- Walking distance to reliable subway, PATH, or train service
- A neighborhood with cafés, restaurants, groceries, libraries, parks, or other places to spend time nearby

I’m quiet and respectful at home, but I’d also enjoy living with friendly roommates who are comfortable occasionally talking, eating together, or hanging out.

I study Computer Science and Psychology at Cornell and also work part-time as a software engineer. I’m responsible, respectful of shared spaces, and care quite a bit about keeping the apartment clean.

I’d strongly prefer to visit the apartment in person before committing. If that isn’t initially possible, I’m happy to do a live video call and walkthrough first.
