Filmmaker, out most days. Sept, $1300 upfront

I'm Adam, a filmmaker moving to New York from Virginia and starting work in the city in September. I finished a BA at MetFilm School London this year.

Looking for a single room in a share, furnished or not, from early September. I can start from the 1st, and I'm flexible by a few days either way if that fits your timing better. Ideally about a month while I tour apartments for a longer lease, though I'm happy to talk about staying longer if that suits you better. I can pay the full month upfront on signing, and I'm glad to show proof of funds before we meet.

I'm not fussy about the room itself. A bed, a door that closes and decent wifi covers it. I'll have some film equipment with me to store in the room, that doesn't make noise or run.

I'm open across Brooklyn, Queens and Manhattan. I'll be travelling to sets and to viewings all over the city, so a decent train connection matters more to me than the neighbourhood itself, and I don't mind a longer commute.

I work on film sets as a sound mixer and gaffer, so I'm out most days and sometimes leaving very early. I keep my own space tidy and I'm relaxed about everyone else's. I don't smoke and won't be bringing any pets with me.

I don't have any preference for roommates; I'm open to meeting new people. I've shared houses in London and Bangkok, in quiet households and social ones, and been happy in all of them.
