Seeking a furnished room near MSU for six months

I am a 25-year-old female PhD student from China. I will be visiting Montclair State University for a six-month academic visit from September 2026 through February 2027, and I am scheduled to arrive on August 29. I am quiet, clean, responsible, and a non-smoker.

I am looking for a furnished private room that meets the following requirements:

1. Since I will not have a car, I would prefer a place within approximately 5 km of Montclair State University or with convenient public transportation to the university.
2. I need access to a kitchen for daily cooking.
3. A washer and dryer in the house or building would be preferable.
