Room wanted in Plano, TX

I’m currently looking for a room to rent or a roommate situation, and I wanted to be upfront about my circumstances before moving forward.

I was recently laid off and am currently working part-time while preparing to start a new full-time position at the end of September. Once I begin my full-time job, I will be able to afford the listed rental amount. In the meantime, I’m hoping we may be able to negotiate a temporary rate of around $125 per week for the first month or two while I get my finances back in order.

I’m specifically looking for a safe, stable environment with a small work-from-home space, as I’ll need that for my new position. My goal is to use this as a temporary step while I rebuild financially and work toward getting an apartment of my own.

I’m a Christian, and my faith is an important part of my life. I value peace, respect, honesty, good communication, and being considerate of the people I live with. This would also be my first roommate situation, so I’m looking for someone who is understanding and open to communicating about my circumstances. I’m happy to explain more in person if you’re comfortable with that.

I don’t have children or pets, and I’m respectful, responsible, clean, and drama-free. I’m honestly in a season where I need some temporary help and stability, especially since much of my family lives out of state, and I’m trying to make the best decision for my situation.
