Room wanted in Fall River, MA

My Fiance Mark & I are looking for a space to rent. I am 50 and Mark is 40. We are moving out of our current apartment in Fall River because our new landlord has raised our rent to 2000 from the 1700 we were paying.

I am a Crisis Intervention Specialist at STARR, The director of the Greater Fall River Domestic Violence Coalition, The Outreach Coordinator, and Advocate for Domestic Violence.

The new rental price is now out of our price range and we are looking to down size and live within our budget which would be no more than 1200 per month.

We are quiet and professional and we also volunteer for the unhoused in the Fall River Community.

We are going to be renting a storage unit so most of our belongings will be stored. We would just bring the basics as needed. We are looking for long term housing, If eligible, over 3 months.

Please let us know what your protocol is for renting your space. First, last, Security? Background and Credit Checks? Application Fees? I am currently going through a divorce after 30 years of marriage, so my credit at the moment is not up to par, however, it is something I am actively working on.

My son who is 25 is in the United States Army and is a graduate of college. He is being deployed soon so he will not be staying with us.
