Hello My name is Marlon; I’m a merchant sailor by trade just back from a long stint out to sea I am in the Sailors International Union. I am taking a 3 month break while I look into other Mariner opportunities within the city (Staten Island Ferry or NYC DEP) in the mean while starting on September 16 I will be doing either security or construction work. I will be on vacation from September 3-15. I have the money for the 3 months 4000$ on hand but if I like it will continue paying rent to hold the apartment if either I get one of the mariner jobs or I end up going back out to sea in December.
