PhD researcher looking for a room in Cambridge/Som

Hi! I’m Matteo, a 25-year-old PhD researcher from the University of Padua, Italy. I’ll be moving to the Boston area at the beginning of October for a research period at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

I’m looking for a friendly, clean and relaxed home, ideally with respectful roommates who are happy to share common spaces while also giving each other privacy.

During the week I’ll usually be busy with research and will have a fairly regular routine. In my free time I like exercising, reading — especially great classics — listening to music, particularly indie rock, and watching movies. I’m a big fan of classic films, but I also enjoy thrillers, horror and drama.

I’m clean, quiet, respectful and non-smoking, and I’m very used to shared living. I currently live in a house with five other people and we share two bathrooms, so I’m comfortable with roommates and considerate about common areas, noise and other people’s schedules.

I’m also happy to chat, share a meal or watch a movie together from time to time, but I’m equally comfortable doing my own thing.

I’m ideally looking for a room from around October 1, 2026 until approximately mid-May 2027, preferably in Cambridge, Somerville or somewhere with good public transport connections.
