Art teacher seeking Hudson Valley room/roommate

Hi! I’m a 43-year-old visual art teacher and artist relocating to the Hudson Valley for a new full-time teaching position in Poughkeepsie this September. I previously lived in the area and am excited to come back.

I’m looking for a comfortable, peaceful home in or around Newburgh, Beacon, Fishkill, Wappingers, Poughkeepsie, or nearby. I’m open to renting a room or finding someone compatible to share a 2-bedroom with.

I’m friendly, creative, responsible, clean, and respectful of other people’s space. Outside of teaching, I paint, sing, teach art workshops, love museums, hiking, nature, live music, coffee shops, and exploring the Hudson Valley.

I have a sweet 7-year-old Labradoodle named Leo, so I’m looking for a genuinely dog-friendly home. He is very loved and an important part of my life.

I’d especially enjoy living with another creative, professional, or generally kind and emotionally mature person who values a calm home, good communication, mutual respect, and also having our own independence.
