Seeking roommates in Brooklyn for Sep 1 or sooner!

Hi all! I have been in NYC for a year working at a museum, and I’m now hoping to move to Brooklyn (coming from Harlem) to be closer to friends and community. I’m mainly looking in the areas vaguely northeast of Prospect Park (Prospect Heights / Crown Heights / PLG / etc.) but also willing to consider Bed-Stuy or Bushwick if good opportunities arise. I could be open to subletting but would prefer to join a lease (either as a takeover or joining an existing group for a renewal). September 1 is my latest possible start date, but I’m also able to start any time before then.

As a roommate, I’m generally pretty quiet and enjoy a calm and friendly living environment. I work full-time, so I’m out during the day for 5 days a week. During the evenings I enjoy spending time out with friends. On weekends I’m usually also out of the house to go adventure, whether that’s going for a long walk through the city, exploring new places, or being in nature. I am so down for having people over (though I myself rarely have visitors), but would prefer not to live in a party-hosting household. I’m open to becoming friends with future roommates (some of my dearest friends started out as roommates!) but also willing to just have a friendly coexistence — whatever is preferred. :)

I have a very strong preference for laundry in-building. Other than that I’m open to almost anything — I’d love to find a furnished place since I’m moving without furniture, but totally open to an unfurnished place since I’m hoping to stay for a while and it would be worth the investment. I would also love a room with some natural light (doesn’t even have to be direct, just enough that you can tell when it’s daytime lol). I’m open to living with folks of any gender, but preferably around the same age (in their 20s).
