SMC engineering student and ILCA sailor seeks room

Incoming 18-year-old full-time international student at Santa Monica College studying Mechanical Engineering. I am also a competitive U19 ILCA 6 sailor and will train in Marina del Rey and at ABYC on selected weekends.

I am seeking a safe furnished private bedroom in the Los Angeles Westside, ideally Mar Vista, Palms, east Santa Monica, Culver City or West Los Angeles, from August 28, 2026. Budget is up to $1,700 per month, preferably including utilities and Wi-Fi. I need kitchen and washing-machine access, a straightforward bus or e-bike commute to SMC, and secure e-bike storage. A private bathroom is preferred but not essential.

I am quiet, responsible, clean, a non-smoker, and have no pets. I will not store a boat hull at the residence, only personal sailing clothing and equipment. I prefer a written 6-month lease with the possibility to extend, verified landlord details, and a live video tour before any payment. I would be very happy to live with another responsible college-age student, athlete or sailor.
