Well Adjusted English Male

I'm versatile, respectful & mindful of others' property; an ex-pat from the UK & semi-retired ex-navy / airforce contractor with my own home in Bay Park where I love living. I still do the odd consulting contract but I've mostly been co-hosting & dealing with deferred maintenance (for e. g. I just replaced the water heater for the house & a corrugated polycarbonate roof on my 25'x30' covered patio & replaced some of the structure (wood) that had rotted away or was eaten by termites) - on properties of mine or friends & family over last few years; but now my own home is being rented! My renter is a family - whose house is having to be repaired & remodeled after a flood & need my place for several months (2-3) so now I'm looking for a place myself!
I'm clean, quiet & respectful, but easy-going & fit in with most other personalities. I still have (most of) my British accent & am a little reserved but can be out-going, hold a conversation whilst intuitively knowing when to keep to myself & to give others the space they need. I'm not into drama, drugs or other vices except the occasional beer/cocktail after tennis (that I play on alternate mornings, afternoons & evenings). Yes - I drink hot tea & eat toast for breakfast! Love to garden & fix things (electro-mechanical engineer). I will have just a few suitcases, a laptop, a bicycle & my little English car (that I rebuilt). I can do repairs to almost anything & happy to trade on that a little if that helps anyone, but otherwise my goal is to pay my way (in advance) & also acquire a few new credentials with some online courses while living away from home. I also enjoy a swim, hot-tub, cycling e. g. to the farmers market or for some groceries. I love meeting up with friends for a walk or hike, to watch the occasional game or for dinner somewhere.
I'll need a bedroom, (hopefully) private bathroom & a little workspace that is quiet & pref. with a window. I'm equally happy to live by the coast, on a boat or mountain where there is a little breeze & something to look at once I finish my work.
I could also house / boat sit for you, walk the dog (& pick up after), do grocery shop & even do some minor repairs etc., while if you're planning a getaway from home but want someone to look after fido & or the house & can provide prof. references if required.
