Small room for the autumn

Hi I'm Barbara, a 35 years old Hungarian, young professional, working contractual jobs in travel. I am currently doing a gap year and because I love dancing I decided to spend 2-3 months in NYC to take classes and challenge myself!
I love dancing, I was trained as a child and movement stayed with me wherever I went. I have traveled a lot with my occupation and I like staying in share houses or similar communal living spaces. In the last 3 years I have lived on a ship with 1000 other crew sharing the living space, so I understand how to manage and take care of our common spaces. I like to be active during the day, be outdoors or take classes, then go home and rest. I am respectable towards the space that gives me a temporary home and towards the people I share it with. I am personable, I enjoy to share the occassional meal with others and I also respect privacy and the importance of quiet resting hours. I like to cook and bake during the week, it is important to me to stay in a place with a well-equipped kitchen.
I do have my own studio apartment in Budapest, which I will have to get back to in December, so I'm looking for somewhere to stay from September until November. I would like to stay in a place with like-minded professionals or students who prioritize rest at home. I'd like to live with people who are tidy, responsible and respectful. I have been saving up for this trip, I can show proof of funds for rent and for cost of living if necessary.
I would prefer to stay close to the dancing scene, I want to be no more than 1 hour on the train/bus from 42nd street. I'm okay with any borough, it won't be my first time in the city.
