Hi! I'm in my mid-30's and have lived in Brooklyn for 15 years. I work and have family in Park Slope so I'm trying to stay as close I can to that area on a burnt-out social worker's salary. I'm looking for a room $2,000 or under and would love, love, love to have my own bathroom.
I work about 50/50 from home vs in the office and don't work a typical 9-5 (mid-day/night and weekend shifts). I do tend to spend my spare time in my room, watching TV or playing video games. I also like to walk around the neighborhood and do yoga. I don't spend a ton of time in the kitchen and tend to most of my cooking in the microwave or air-fryer.
I have one cat who is chill and friendly but quite the scaredy cat, so he'll spend most of his time in my room. I take litter box etiquette seriously and clean his daily. My own personal cleaning standards are more organized chaos, but I keep shared areas extremely clean (and I actually love to vacuum). I'm quiet, respectful, and, mostly, tired.
Heads up, my picture is almost 10 years old, so I look (at least) 10 years older than that.
