Couple seeking room in Portland

Hello, we are two men, 21 and 22, moving out of rural Oregon. Our budget is Roughly 1200, depends on the situation. I am studying electrical engineering/CS, and my boyfriend doesn't attend school. My boyfriend has two cats, only a really great deal would change that, feel free to ask anyways.
I am on the left in the first photo, my boyfriend is on the right and in the second photo.

We'll both be working full time as I pay for almost all of my school myself. I'm attending community college for my first two years to save money, haha...
We're pretty quiet people, the last time I visited portland my friend described us as "Too polite". My boyfriend smokes weed, but not indoors. We're sociable enough, tidy, the usual. I like to draw and read, me and my boyfriend go biking sometimes.

Don't need a big place. Honestly looking for the cheapest thing around because again, I pay for my own school, but I know it's pretty hard to find a cheap place that accepts a couple.
