Writer/Childcare Professional from Berlin Germany

I am Jonas (42), a childcare professional starting a new job with the preschool of the German International School Chicago on August 17th.
(My scheduled flight will arrive on August 15th, but I am ok paying for all of August.)
I can provide an SSN + payslips, bank statements, and a credit score from Germany, as well as a confirmation of my new job and a background check issued by the German authorities.
Other than focusing on my work and my writing (weird fantasy/scifi stories and novels), I enjoy reading, napping, and going for a run. I also did lots of volunteer work with children with special needs in various countries and would love to do something similar in Chicago as well.
I am rather quiet and not very chatty for the most part, but can be easily drawn into a conversation about how your day went and what else is going on. 
 I also enjoy the occasional jam session (will have no instruments at home, though), trying my hand at some stand-up or even Improv.
My default setting is to keep things tidy and clean, so I don't have to have a cleaning day that often.
