UN Intern Looking for a short term sublet

Hi everyone!

My name is Jana, I’m a 25-year-old law student from Vienna, Austria. From September 1 to November 30, I’ll be interning at the Permanent Mission of Austria to the United Nations, so I’m currently looking for a furnished room in New York for that period.

What I’m looking for:

• 📍 Preferably in Manhattan (Turtle Bay, Midtown, East Village, Greenwich Village, Upper East Side, Lenox Hill, East Harlem, or Murray Hill), but I’m flexible as long as the commute to the UN Headquarters is reasonably short.
• 💰 Budget: up to $1,800/month, though I’d love to stay below that if possible.
• 🧺 A washer in the unit would be a big plus, but it’s not a dealbreaker.
• 🏋️ A gym or pool nearby would also be great, but not essential.

A little about me:
I’m a very clean, organized, and respectful person. I enjoy having my own space but I am also quite outgoing and like to socialize and go out from time to time. I’m vegetarian and try to maintain a healthy lifestyle by cooking for myself and staying active. Back home in Vienna, I’m a member of a swimming club, and I also enjoy going to the gym and running. I’d love to keep up that routine while working a 9-to-5 schedule in NYC.

Although my internship officially starts in September, I’d ideally like to move in in late August and stay until early December.
