SWE looking for nice roommates

Hi friends, I’m getting an early start on looking for an apartment as I don’t have to move out of my current place until September 30 when my current lease expires. I would try to stay with my current roommates, but one is moving to Germany and the other roommate isn’t looking to spend as much as I plan to 😅I’d like to pay around $3,000 for a nice apartment in an amenity building with a decent-sized room and at least a private half-bath (happy to share a shower with tidy roommates).

I am a software engineer at a really fun tech company. I can WFH, but I strongly prefer to go in-person to our office in FiDi. I’d love to be 20-25 min from 1 WTC. I like to go out, and occasionally stay out as late at 2-3am. When this happens, my cat will chirp for a little bit until I pick him up, but other than that I am really quiet when coming home late.

I go to my aunts house in New Jersey semi-regularly for a night or two. I’d love to have a roommate who will give my cat cuddles if I am away for the night. My cat has automatic feeder/litter box, so my only concern when I’m gone is him being lonely. My current roommates love my cat and I’m hoping to find a similar scenario.

It is important for me to be able to have friends over if I want. I don’t have parties or anything, but I want to be able to have a friend or two over to get ready before we go out on the weekends. I don’t have guys over unless it is at least semi-serious. It is fine with me if your mom/cousin/friend needs to stay over for a few days, so I’d expect the same.

Happy to live with anyone nice of any gender. I go out to do activities maybe once a month with my roommates and would want a similarly friendly relationship.

I’m tidy except for when I have 3+ drinks at a time in my bedroom. I typically want something cold and sweet, something with caffeine, and room temp water.
