Room wanted in San Diego

Hi there!
A bit about me - I am a recent graduate from Scripps Institution of Oceanography's 1-year Masters of Advanced Studies in Marine Biodiversity & Conservation program. I am looking for a job and also continuing to take courses at Scripps and continued to be advised by and volunteer with one of the senior professors there so wish to remain close to the Scripps campus in La Jolla but a bit flexible. I am a laid back but also sociable. Responsible ocean enthusiast who loves any activity on, in, or near the water.
I am 47 years old, although I still feel my spirit is in its 30s. Beyond my partying days but appreciate the occasional intimate dinner/brunch gathering.
I lived in New York for over 20 years, over half of that time with roommates so am very comfortable sharing spaces and appreciate unique personalities.
I have all of my own furniture - enough to furnish a 3br house but am prepared to put that all into storage if need be or can bring some or all of my furniture with me.
In my roommate - I would like to have a comfortable relationship with my roommate but don't expect to necessarily become best friends. I'd love for the home to feel comfortable for both of us and have open communication, enjoy meals or activities together from time to time would be nice - especially if they are a scuba or freediver like myself.
I do have two small, adorable, well-trained dogs; one is a service dog and the other is a goofy happy little cockapoo.

I am able to move as soon as possible (with a few days notice to make arrangements) and am hoping to find something nice that is closer to the shore than inland anywhere between Ocean Beach and Carlsbad. Again, I have some flexibility.
Age range - I'm a bit open but perhaps somewhere between 35-55.

I am very inclusive; gender association, religion, race, etc are not limiting factors for me in any way.
