Room wanted in Manhattan, NY

I am a 20 year old college student on a biology transfer degree / also a mariner from Seattle, WA.

I'm hoping to look for a shared, furnished, private room in an apartment/building with roommates who enjoy socializing or simply doing random things together, and have perhaps similar academic interests/pursuits. I don't drink or smoke, I keep to myself, respecting boundaries of others, ensure tidiness in my room/common areas. I am usually busy studying for classes, or outside exploring (I spend most of my time outside). I'm open minded and accepting of everyone's ideas, self expression, and lifestyles, this means I will respect you as a human being, because I think that's what everyone deserves.
Hostels as well as my time at sea have taught me to be fluid and to understand how to co-exist with others in an equitable, shared environment.
