​I am disabled and work part-time; I manage chronic health issues but am completely independent. I am a homebody who prefers a low-stimulation, quiet, and peaceful environment. ​My Living Habits

​Cannabis: I am a medical marijuana patient and “California Sober.” I vape/dab inside my room and smoke outside.

​Substances: I don’t mind light drinking in the home. No hard drugs please.

​Sensitivities: I have chemical sensitivities, so I prefer a low-fragrance home. I occasionally use essential oil candles and incense and im happyto negotiate. I also have a mold sensitivity, so a mold-free home is a priority for me.

​Noise & Schedule: I keep day hours and use headphones for all media. If you work or go to school full-time, you will never hear me working. I do experience insomnia, but I am very mindful and do my best to remain quiet at night.

​Guests & Pets: I do not host overnight guests; I may have a rare visit from my partner. I do not have pets and don’t plan to get any, but I enjoy having them in the house.

​Household Needs

​Room Requirements: I am seeking an unfurnished private room in a 3–4 bedroom house, ideally on the first floor due to chronic pain and fatigue. I am looking for a year-long lease with the option to renew. Prefer SE Portland area.

​Power/Equipment: I would prefer a room with at least three outlets to accommodate a mini-fridge and microwave.

​Cleaning: I have a professional helper who assists me with laundry, dishes, and cleaning my room for about an hour once a month. She does not clean public areas, though she may clean the bathroom I use. We can discuss increasing her frequency if needed,. as the occasion arises.

​Contributions: I am happy to contribute to shared household supplies. And household tasks, to contribute to a clean home.

Living Experience

​I have extensive experience living in shared households with four or more roommates. I am very familiar with the communication and mutual respect required to maintain a peaceful, sustainable home environment in room rental situations. I understand how to balance my own needs with those of others and have a proven track record of being a reliable, considerate housemate.
