Hello! I’m Kendrick, a warm, respectful 50-year-old seeking an affordable room to rent for up to one year. After losing my mother and facing the foreclosure of the home she purchased, I need a stable place where I can save money, continue rebuilding, and address family-related legal matters.

I am blind and receive dependable Social Security Disability income. I’m studying to become a community health worker at Governors State University and seeking a paid apprenticeship. I exercise five or six days a week and play beep baseball for athletes who are blind or visually impaired. I travel to several tournaments, including the 2026 World Series in Aurora, Illinois.

At home, I’m quiet, accommodating, independent, and generally keep to myself. I’m ***-friendly, but I do not need to smoke or vape because edible and drinkable alternatives are available. I would prefer a written lease because, after approximately three months, I may qualify for rental assistance through a Chicago-area organization serving people who are blind.

I’m simply looking for a safe, welcoming home while I regain stability and prepare for my next chapter. I have nothing to hide—literally! LOL.
