Chill Artsy Queer Seeking Chicago Housing

Hello, I'm June~

I'm currently located in Saint Louis, looking to move to Chicago before the end of this month. I just landed a great job there and only need secure a place to live, so I’m searching for any kind of roomshare/cheap lease situation for the time being that is willing to accommodate myself and a couple of very polite cats.

I'm a writer in my free time and I do various arts and collaborative storytelling with my cool nerd friends in addition to personal projects. I mostly keep to myself but enjoy the company of others both in and out of the house. I enjoy music, culture, literature, other such things, and I’m very excited to explore Chicago in this newest chapter of my life.

Roommate-wise, I’m tidy and respectful, or at least the messes I generate are limited (briefly) to my own space, and I have no struggles keeping up with housework or doing nice things for the people I live with. I am VERY easy to communicate with and prefer to problem-solve issues sooner rather than later so that we can all be so chill and so happy. For this and several other reasons, I generally tend to synchronize better with women and fellow queers as roommates/friends. I happen to be man-shaped but that’s where the association ends for me, and I don’t want anything from anybody, let alone to bother them. My current roommates are younger women and their references are available upon request. I like things and smells that are pretty and I like my space to be pretty as well. Please take me to thrift stores so that I can negotiate harshly with my bank account on stupid shit that I simply must have.

Furthermore, please behold my glorious gentlemen brothers, Andrew Bird The Cat and Rufus. They have to come with me but they are worth the required space and accommodations, being neither troublesome nor destructive. They are, in fact, super slutty and are physically incapable of absorbing enough love. If anything, they are who you want as roommates, and I am merely a source of income that scoops their poop-sand.
This is fine with me.

I’m looking for a place more toward the east side of town for a year or longer, and I’ve got a right-now budget of about $2400 to put toward rent and deposit. I should be able to handle a total monthly rate of about $900-1200, at least until I catch up after moving expenses and get settled again.
