Young professional looking for room

Hello!

I am searching for a new room to rent starting July 31st. I work on the east side of Manhattan and am flexible regarding location, room size/furnishings, etc as long as the room is a) located near public transportation (I don't have a car), and b) CLEAN and mold/allergen-free! HVAC/central air preferred, am open to rooms in family homes (especially on Long Island) as well as apartments, and to room/house mates of all backgrounds. I am looking for something long-term (though I am open to a month-to-month arrangement), preferably a year or more.

About me: 24F, I work long hours and like my alone time/personal space, but like to be friendly/on good terms with housemates. I don't smoke or have pets and would prefer people who have the same preferences, but I might be open to having hypoallergenic cats around. In my spare time I like to read, study, and explore the city!
