Room wanted in Brooklyn, NY

I am a professional male available to move from 07/01/2026 and have a budget of (up to) $2.5k/month for the right place. I'd like to share with man or woman, ideally between the ages 30 and 50.

Looking for a chill, friendly, collaborative/communal feel with roomate(s) w/an established life and or career.

Background:
I’ve been a Brooklyn resident for most of my adult life, and in 2023, I’d decided to sell my place in C. Gardens and move West, though my (now-ex) partner wasn’t on board. So, after leasing an apartment for a year near my office in Park Slope, instead of renewing, I decided to move, work, and live in Mexico (mostly Guadalajara and CDMX), from where I just returned at the beginning of this year. Airbnb is getting a bit tiring/less adventurous after a couple of years and I miss cohabitating with a roommate, thus this Spare Room profile. (Sale of place closes Jan ’27).

I’m an easy-to-live-with a low-impact roommate, especially as I’m currently in hardcore work mode, and my current day-to-day:

•Weekdays: I run a product design & IP consulting business (ortheegg. com) and am half-time with a newco (fasmilismo. com), so during the week, I’m up by 6, out early for my morning gym and meditation routine, and at work by 0830. Home by 7 and then read/relax/repeat.

•Weekends: I’m typically out (dinners/music with friends) or biking/kayaking etc, or often out of town for micro-adventures.

I've been well domesticated, aka: clean, neat, organized, and respectful.
Plus, as the in-home chef (and a good one), I like to cook for others. (bonus!)

Passions & hobbies: Audiophile favorite music genres (outside of classical) jazz, funk, and metal. Yes, you read the last one right. Originally a pianist as a kid thhen percussionist as a teen (though I don’t play my own or others' music in the home).
Other: cooking, cycling, meditation, reading (for fiction, lit and sci-fi and urban fantasy, non-fiction, bioscience and tech), writing (non-fiction and short fiction). Live music. Cinema. Spending time with friends and family.
